Terence Son is a Southern California-based commercial cinematographer and photographer who travels worldwide on assignments. He received his formal photography education from the Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, CA. After working years as an assistant to the top commercial photographers in Los Angeles and New York, he set out on his path in the commercial photography/cinematography field. Recognized in the industry for his unique "painterly light" style of classic Renaissance paintings, Terence caught the eye of global ad agencies.
Terence was born in Seoul, South Korea. He and his family immigrated to the United States (Los Angeles) when he was five years old. A native Angeleno and Venice Beach resident, Terence had aspirations of becoming a photographer at an early age. The famous Nike posters of the '70s and '80s displayed on his bedroom walls made a profound impact on shaping his career path.
